FC Pune City head coach Franco Colomba at the post-match press conference in Guwahati.FC Pune City head coach Franco Colomba expressed satisfaction at taking a point away from the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati post their clash against NorthEast United FC. The Italian also stated that he was happy with the way his team had performed. “I cannot ask for more from my boys, effort-wise. When you are playing in a tournament where the fixtures come thick and fast and you are often playing two to three times a week, a team can sometimes lose the lucidity in its play. We could have perhaps treated the opportunities that fell to us in a better way, but then, a point away from home is sometimes not a bad result.”The gaffer also felt that this result was not necessarily an opportunity lost to go to the top of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) table. “Sometimes, you cannot judge things like this. I think at this stage every point gained is vital. We are still in the top four and have home games to play.” When asked the reason for playing Mehrajuddin Wadoo at right-back and Pritam Kotal in midfield, Colomba stated that their flexibility during training and certain strategic decisions had influenced the changes, “I noticed that Wadoo was able to track back and cover the wide positions while Pritam was marking the space behind the forwards well. It is always good when you have players who are flexible.”FC Pune City's new signing Krisztian Vadocz.Krisztian Vadocz, FC Pune City’s brand new signing in place of the injured John Goossens, was delighted with his first appearance in the ISL and stated that he was looking forward to putting in a solid shift in the competition. “I am happy to be here and it was a fantastic experience playing in front of such a huge crowd. I am grateful to my teammates for helping me settle in so quickly.” When reminded that he had almost scored with his first touch, Vadocz afforded a grin, “It was a wonderful pass from Kostas (Katsouranis), but I had to stretch to get to it and could not get the ideal connection. Hopefully, I shall not pass up an opportunity when it comes next time,” he trailed off.The Pune contingent now head down south to take on second-placed Chennaiyin FC on Wednesday, November 19.
