Silva has been one of the finest forwards in the league, having also played for Bengaluru FC in the past before his move to East Bengal FC. He scored 12 goals in the 2022-23 campaign, finishing as East Bengal FC’s top scorer, and repeated that feat the following season as well, finishing with eight goals. However, he struggled to maintain his output this season, providing just two assists all season.
Despite making 18 appearances, he spent just 1,106 minutes on the pitch and missed some of their games due to injury before making his return and featuring in East Bengal FC’s final league game against NorthEast United FC, which ended in a 4-0 defeat. The Brazilian also featured in the AFC Challenge League, where their journey came to an end in the quarter-finals.
Silva has been one of the best forwards to ply his trade in the ISL, with nearly 50 goal contributions in his past five ISL seasons. He has scored 36 goals, 20 of which have come for East Bengal FC.
