Jamshedpur FC will be on the road to take on two-time Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) champions, ATK at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Sunday. Much like their hosts, the Miners will be expected to go all-out in search of all three points, which would help their playoff prospects a great deal.

During the pre-match presser, Jamshedpur head coach Cesar Ferrando revealed that the team will have to do without some key players on Sunday. "Tim Cahill is struggling with his hand and it's very difficult for him to play. Raju Gaikwad has a hamstring injury. Michael Soosairaj is down with viral fever. They can’t play. Soosairaj is three days away from training. He didn’t train today," he revealed. Additionally, the Spaniard will also be without the services of Carlos Calvo, who is serving a three-match suspension.

Given the long list of absentees, Ferrando will need to rely on the young players of the squad to get the job done. Asked about the same, Ferrando responded, "The young players of Jamshedpur are playing very well. Tomorrow they can get a chance to play. When we put the line-ups, we don’t see the age they have. When you deserve to play, you have to play. If you are 18, 25 or 40, it doesn’t matter. Performance is more important than age. I’m very happy with them."

Ferrando, however, stressed that the team was ready to give ATK a tough fight despite their depleted status. "I don’t want to use it as an excuse. Tomorrow we are going to put a line-up which we think can play best against ATK. When we have finished the match, I don’t want an excuse about the match. We are a good team. For me at this moment, my team for tomorrow is the best team in the world," he said.

The veteran coach concluded by giving out a brief assessment of their upcoming opponents. "Tomorrow is a top match because they are a good team, they have good players, they have a good coach, they play at home. It will be an interesting match. I like their players a lot. They concede very few chances to score. They are a strong team," he opined.
