Jamshedpur FC will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 when they play against FC Pune City at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Wednesday. Currently placed fourth in the table, Jamshedpur will be eager to consolidate their position by bagging three points against a struggling Pune side, who are yet to taste victory this season.

At the pre-match press conference, Jamshedpur head coach Cesar Ferrando was asked if it was the perfect time to play against the Stallions. In response, the veteran coach said, "I think, Pune are a good team. They are a very dangerous team because they want to get their first victory. They are strong and have good players. It is another match and a big challenge for us."

Although unbeaten so far this season, Jamshedpur have only been able to notch up two wins from seven matches and have drawn the other five. Asked the reason behind his team's inability to convert the one points into three, Ferrando said, "I think every coach should have time. I think you can’t win every match. But, in football, these things happen. I think we are settled. We are ready to play this match."

Ferrando’s side has looked like a better unit away from home this season and when asked if he prefers to play away matches, the Spaniard said, "We play every match in the same way. To play away or home. But, I think, at this moment, when our players have to face any match, they have the self-confidence to play very well.”

Ferrando also confirmed that strikers Tim Cahill and Gourav Mukhi will not be there for the match. Cahill played his farewell international match at Sydney on Tuesday while Mukhi is suspended pending an AIFF Disciplinary Committee hearing. "Tim is not there. Pune will miss seeing Tim Cahill. There is another news that has come in, the suspension of Gourav Mukhi. AIFF is looking into it and we have a hearing. These are the only absentees. All the others are available," he informed.
