Jamshedpur FC’s unbeaten record at home in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 will be under serious threat when a rampant NorthEast United FC visit the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday. The Highlanders have won all their four matches on the road so far, making the tie an intriguing prospect for both teams.

Jamshedpur head coach Cesar Ferrando was present at the pre-match press conference a day before the decisive match in the race for the playoffs. The Spaniard was well aware of NorthEast’s exploits away from home but insisted that his players were ready to fight for the three points. "I think that they are a good team. They play very well. They won their last two matches. I think they are a very strong team. My team is ready to play against them. If we do good things, we can win," he said.

In the reverse fixture in Guwahati back in October, Jamshedpur were under a lot of pressure against NorthEast and managed to come out with a 1-1 draw. Ferrando dismissed suggestions that the performance may be in the back of his players' minds going into Saturday's fixture and said, "Every match is different. We can try and impose our style. We have to play with the ball. We hope to have the ball a lot.”

“We are now a good team. We have to focus on the set-pieces. We need to keep a clean sheet and win. But every match is different. Our aim is to play like a team. But they have 5-6 good players. We have to play like a team if we want to win," he added.
