ATK Mohun Bagan Head Coach Juan Ferrando didn't contain his disappointment and agreed that FC Goa were the better team as the Gaurs beat ATK Mohun Bagan for the first time in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) with a 3-0 win at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in Goa, on Sunday.

The Goans were on the front from the first minute and deservedly got their opening goal during the 50th minute through Aiban Dohling. Then, substitutes Mohamed Fares Arnaout and Noah Sadaoui found the back of the net, which gave FC Goa a comfortable victory at the end. With this win, FC Goa move to the third spot in the Hero ISL table, moving past ATK Mohun Bagan, who are placed sixth.

Ferrando, addressing the media in the post-match press conference, said that the Mariners need to forget this result immediately and focus on the next game against Hyderabad FC.

What do you want to say about this match?

Honestly, I think that FC Goa were better than us. In the first half, our performance was a disaster. This is the truth. We were slow in build ups, very slowly in our press. Yeah in the second half, I think after the injuries, because we had some players with injuries, the performance continued in the same line. The second goal of FC Goa was a difficult moment for us. But there is not possible to talk so much. I think FC Goa was much better again in the game. That's all just accept the reality.

Any update on Joni Kauko's injury?

At this moment, we need the time, the doctors need to check. We'll see what exactly it is.

Something that you would take back home and make sure that is not repeated from this match?

Now, I think it's necessary to clear the mind to be ready for the next days. Now this is the past. It's necessary to learn some details of course, but forget (this result) immediately because the championship continues.

It is a tough defeat, but we're there any positives that you would like to emphasize taking home?

I didn't know it. When playing home/away all the time, it's difficult. Of course, I'm disappointed because there is only one team was on the field. It is FC Goa. This is the truth. FC Goa was much better. I'm very disappointed about our performance because FC Goa was better in press, better in build ups, and all (other) points.
