NorthEast United FC manager Cesar Farias wants his team to keep up the momentum following their second successive win in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) against defending champions Atlético de Kolkata at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Friday evening.Goal-scorer Nicolas Velez and Sanju Pradhan came on in the second half and changed the complexion of the match. Farias said the move was part of their strategy.“In football strategy is very important, just like chess. A player moves his pieces on the chess board according to his strategy. We have our own strategy for the games and use the players as the need arises. We played with precision and accuracy but the champions also had a very good game,” Farias told reporters after the match. He continued: “They have excellent players and an excellent coach, it was a very difficult game. Our players were fully prepared, both mentally and physically and we are happy with the win. Our staff is also working very hard, they have a very difficult job as the matches are in quick succession. But at the moment the fitness problems are getting solved, so [there is] no problem.“On the field we've found our route and we hope to maintain it. We have to continue our good work. Even though we lost the first three games, we did some good things there too and we need to continue them. It's good to overcome our difficulties but we also have to analyse the mistakes we made in the two games that we won.”NorthEast United FC have done quite well in the possession department in the last two matches but also have missed several scoring opportunities and when asked whether not scoring more goals was a problem for the team, the Venezuelan said: “You can't always analyse how well we played only on possession. We are creating a lot of chances in all the games. But goals don't always come. This league is very competitive and any team can beat any other team, so we're trying to do our best.“I come from the Mexican league which is probably the most evenly-contested league in the world, the investments that are made are almost equal from the first to the last team. And here also it's the same case. It's really hard for any team to take a runaway lead here. Last year no one knew till the last round was over who will make it to the last four.“Finally it looks like we've found something we wanted and it was to be strong at home. We've back-to-back clean sheets in the two home games, now our next objective is to get points away. The mentality that our gladiators in the locker room have is a winning mentality.”
