Chennaiyin FC vs East Bengal FC
Chennaiyin FC will be aiming to bounce back from a 1-2 defeat to Inter Kashi FC. Currently sitting 11th with five points from six matches, a victory on Saturday would take the two-time champions to eight points in the table.
East Bengal FC travel to Chennai for their first away match of the season, riding high on a historic 7-0 victory over Mohammedan SC in the Kolkata derby in their previous fixture, 17 days back. The Red and Gold Brigade currently sit fourth with 11 points from six matches. A vital away win would elevate them to 14 points, keeping their title hopes alive.
Chennaiyin FC hold a slight edge in this fixture. In their 10 previous ISL encounters, Chennaiyin have three victories compared to East Bengal FC's two, alongside five draws. Their most recent clash in February 2025 saw Chennaiyin FC claim a commanding 3-0 away victory at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.

Anticipating a tough contest, Chennaiyin FC head coach Clifford Miranda praised the opposition's attacking threat. "East Bengal is the most balanced team in the league. They are very fast on the wings and can play possession or go direct," Miranda stated. "They have scored the most goals in the league so far; it’s not easy to play against them."
Chennaiyin FC defender Mandar Rao Dessai emphasised the importance of collective resilience. "It’s not only about defenders; we have to defend as a team," Dessai added. "They have good wingers, but we also have experienced players. It’s a new game, and we are ready."

For East Bengal FC, head coach Oscar Bruzon outlined his ambitions for the remainder of the campaign. "This is our first away game of the season. Last season, one of our best performances came in an away match against Chennaiyin," Bruzon explained. "They are still trying to find their rhythm, but they are former champions and always contenders. We are eager to perform well in the next seven games and push towards the top positions."
East Bengal FC midfielder Souvik Chakrabarti echoed the team's focused mindset. "Every team in the ISL is competitive. Chennaiyin is a tough team, and we will give 100 per cent to win the match. We have had a long gap which helped us to recover well and we are looking forward to continue our performance from the last match."
Bengaluru FC vs Kerala Blasters FC

In the evening fixture, Bengaluru FC return to the Sree Kanteerava Stadium looking to build on their impressive 2-0 away victory over FC Goa. Currently sitting fourth with 14 points, the Blues can apply significant pressure on Mumbai City FC. A win on Saturday would elevate Bengaluru to 17 points, just one point below the league leaders.
Kerala Blasters FC arrive in Bengaluru searching for a much-needed turnaround after suffering a 0-2 defeat to Sporting Club Delhi. They will also have to navigate the fixture without centre-back Aibanbha Kupar Dohling, who is suspended following a red card in their last outing.
Languishing at the bottom of the table with just one point from seven matches, the Blasters desperately need to spark their season into life. A victory on the road would provide them a massive morale boost to avoid the relegation zone.

Bengaluru FC have dominated this matchup. In 17 previous ISL meetings, the Blues have claimed 11 victories to Kerala Blasters FC's four, with just two matches ending in a draw. The two sides last met in Bengaluru in December 2024, where the hosts secured a 4-2 victory.
Anticipating a highly charged atmosphere, Bengaluru FC coach Pep Muñoz embraced the occasion. "It’s a big game and feels like a derby. We want to show our potential at home in front of a full crowd, but ultimately, it’s 11 against 11 on the pitch," Muñoz stated.
Bengaluru FC captain Sunil Chhetri warned against complacency despite the visitors' struggles. "We shouldn’t focus on the table because Kerala will come to win," Chhetri emphasised. "Home advantage only matters if we start well."

Kerala Blasters FC head coach Ashley Westwood acknowledged the team's challenging start but highlighted the positives from their recent outing. "I’ve got my framework and ideas about how we want to play, both with and without the ball. We saw a good start against Delhi," Westwood explained. "Now we just have to build on it, add quality, take care of the ball, and be more compact defensively."
Kerala Blasters FC goalkeeper Arsh Shaikh stressed the need for defensive improvement. "Every game you want to do well defensively as a unit and try to keep a clean sheet. That hasn’t been the case for us so far, but we shouldn’t get frustrated," Shaikh noted. "Hopefully, we can get a few clean sheets and collect some points in the next games."
A victory for East Bengal FC or Bengaluru FC would firmly consolidate their positions in the top half. Conversely, maximum points for Chennaiyin FC or Kerala Blasters FC would provide a massive morale boost
