The final Group A fixture of the ongoing Durand Cup between East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant was abandoned on Saturday.

The Kolkata Derby was set to take place on Sunday at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, which was going to be the deciding match for the group A topper.
Both the Kolkata teams have been in great form in the group stage matches, as they clinched the maximum number of points from the opening two matches.
Mohun Bagan SG registered a narrow 1-0 victory against Downtown Heroes FC in the opening match. In the following match, Jose Molina’s men staged a stunning 6-0 win against the Indian Air Force FT.
On the other hand, Carles Cuadrat’s men emerged victorious against both opponents by a 3-1 scoreline.
