“I'm really pleased to be here, I know exactly what it means to come to the club, about the fans, about all the supporters that the club has. And for me, it's a very big challenge that I'm looking forward to starting, to know the players, to start the training, ” Catala stated during the interview to the club's YouTube channel.

When discussing his footballing philosophy, the new coach underlined the importance of winning while instilling a sense of pride in both the players and fans. Catala aims to develop a squad that demonstrates commitment and sacrifice on the pitch.
“My team needs to compete every single game against all the teams; for me, this is the most important," he stated.
"I want to be very aggressive in attack and to be very protagonist with the ball,” he added.
Catala's rich playing career, particularly as a centre-back, informs much of his coaching style. Acknowledging the significant change that comes with being a coach, he recognizes that leadership on the field has transformed into a broader role where he must inspire and manage the entire squad. Highlighting the challenges of uniting talents with diverse backgrounds under one cohesive vision.
He shared, “Yeah, it's totally different when you are playing and now that you are a coach, you have to be ready and you have to take care of many things. Being a coach, you have a big responsibility.”
“I had this leadership (qualities) during the game when I was playing. And right now, I need this leadership also to take care about 25 players and to show them and convince them that my idea of playing is ideal.,” he explained.
The Blasters are a club synonymous with community spirit and a focus on youth development. Catala's ambition aligns well with these core values.
“Yes, I'm very ambitious in all the things that I'm doing. And I hope this club also need this ambition for all the fans. I need this ambition for the players. And I hope to connect with the fans and make them proud that all the fans have to see a team that recognises themselves. And they have to be a team that they need to fight for everything.” He said.
Finally, talking about his first challenge with the club, the upcoming Super Cup in Bhubaneswar. Coach talked about his initial priorities ahead of this tournament.
“We know the importance of The Super Cup. But the most important from now on for me is to know the players, to start speaking with them. I'm looking forward to doing it from tomorrow. We are going to have the maximum ambitions to get this Super Cup, at least to compete in all the games. But for me the most important now is to be with the players, to know how they feel and to start the training,” Catala said as he concluded confidently.
