Mumbai City FC will attempt to pull off the impossible when they go up against FC Goa in the second leg of their semi-final tie at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Tuesday. The Islanders need to overcome a staggering 5-1 deficit from the first leg and it will take nothing short of a miracle to see them feature in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 final.

At the pre-match press conference, Mumbai head coach Jorge Costa was present to share his thoughts on the match. "In football and in life, we can never say never. But in reality, it is very difficult to change this result. We need to do a lot of things. To be honest, we have a small chance to change the result. Last night I dreamed that we could change the result, but it is very difficult. I have been in football for more than thirty years and I have seen things that no one believes. But normally, it is very difficult to change the result," the Portuguese said.

Continuing on the same note, Costa spoke about Goa’s quality and what his side needs to do when they take to the pitch. "As I said before the first game, we are playing against one of the best teams in India. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but this is not over for us. We have a job to do tomorrow, we have to respect our club, our fans and our job. We must do our best tomorrow and if we win the game then good. If we win by more than four goals, then it is a dream. All I can promise for tomorrow is that it is not over for us. Changing the result is not impossible but it is very very difficult," he said.

He also shed some light on what the players went through on the back of the first leg result. "As you can understand, it is not easy for the players. This was not the result we were expecting. In my opinion, we had one of the best first halves of the season. But we went at half-time trailing 2-1. This is my opinion, but it was not fair. We made a couple of mistakes. At the end after losing 5-1, what can we say to the players,” he remarked.
