Finnish international Joni Kauko netted a brace in the Mariners victory. On the other hand, the Marina Machans skipper Anirudh Thapa slotted one home as the match concluded in a draw after a last minute equaliser by Army Green.

New signings Vafa Hakhamaneshi, Julius Duker, and Petar Sliskovic featured in the starting XI while Jiteshwor Singh, Monotosh Chakladar, and Kwame Karikari came on in the second half for the Thomas Brdraric-led side that played their second pre-season friendly.
The two-time Hero ISL champions had more possession and dominated the game and found the back of the net a little before half-time through captain Anirudh Thapa as the midfielder easily slotted past the keeper from a Sliskovic cross.

Forward Karikari had a decent outing too as the Ghanian was heavily involved in the attacking department with several chances and shots but was unable to convert.
Brdaric put on the youth players in the second-half of the game who put on a good display but failed to put another one past the line.
