NorthEast United FC head into Tuesday’s crunch tie against Delhi Dynamos FC needing a win after taking just six points from their first six matches. A buoyant Delhi outfit, which will be looking to go on top with a win in front of their home crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, stands in their way. The Highlanders’ head coach Cesar Farias spoke to reporters ahead of the must-win clash for NorthEast United. When asked how he will be looking to contain an attack-minded Delhi Dynamos, Farias responded: “We keep basing the game in the idea of controlling the ball; controlling the game just like we did in the two games we won. Keeping the clean sheets with zonal defending and staying very compact. It has worked for us in the past. We have to sharpen the effectiveness and shots on target, but we keep the same ideas as before.”Quizzed on his plans to turn around his side’s fortunes in what has been a stop-start campaign for NorthEast United thus far, the Venezuelan said: “This league is very even between teams and every game tells a different story. When you lose games, you don’t see the positives but we know there are positives. In the last game, we had two accidental hand balls – that doesn’t happen too often. The long travels and back-to-back games don’t give you much time. You just keep going. The league is very even and tight.”Commenting on his side’s fanatic support that have made their voice heard in both home and away fixtures, Farias added: “It makes us very happy to see the support of our people. We hope to give them a good game and a good result.”
