Delhi Dynamos FC marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos wants his team to pick up more wins after dominating FC Pune City in a 3-1 victory in their Hero Indian Super League Season 2 encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday evening. With the win, the Lions moved up to the second spot in the table with 18 points from 10 matches, behind FC Goa on goal difference. While with three points from the match the hosts put one foot in the semis, Carlos doesn’t want to leave anything to chance. “I always want more. It depends on us how the team will react after a win like today but I want more,” the Brazilian told reporters after the match.Delhi had been a bit defensive in approach in their previous matches but on Thursday they came out with aggression and headed into the break leading 2-0 up thanks to goals from Adil Nabi and Anas Edathodika before John Arne Riise scored from the spot in the second half to make it 3-0 for the hosts. “Yeah, the team was more offensive than ever. But for me it doesn’t matter if we’re playing offensively or defensively, what matters is that the team understood what I was saying. It was very important to win today,” Carlos said.Carlos was also immensely pleased with his defenders Anas, Adinga and Souvik Chakraborty. “Anas is doing very well. He deserves an opportunity in the national squad, according to me. I don’t know if [Stephen] Constantine will agree. Souvik has done very well and has improved immensely and Adinga is improving a lot. It’s amazing to see how quickly they’re learning.” Meanwhile, FC Pune City moved down to fourth in the table, and for the first time this season they look to be in a spot of bother as regards their semi-final chances. Head coach David Platt was disappointed and said his team now needed to go back to the drawing board. “In the first half, I wasn’t really worried. But our mistakes cost us. They scored from set pieces, that’s what gave us a mountain to climb. We have to look at ourselves,” Platt said.On their semis chances, the Englishman added: “Fifteen points won’t be enough to qualify. Regardless of where other teams are, we don’t care. We don’t play for another eight days. The target is to get more than 15 points. We have three games left to get as many points. If we win all, we will be in the semi-finals. Obviously if we win quickly, that’s better. But anybody can beat anyone in the league. We need to utilise the remaining games.”Delhi next play Chennaiyin FC on Tuesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, and Carlos had his eyes already set on that game. “The most important game is the next one. Chennai is a good team, you have to be very careful with these teams. So we have to know how to deal with these teams, we will obviously watch them play. Our assistant coach will go and watch them play, to prepare for a victory. It will be tough,” he said..
