Delhi Dynamos FC’s three-match winning streak came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Mumbai City FC on Wednesday evening at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the visitors’ marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos chalked their second defeat of the 2015 Hero Indian Super League up to a busy schedule and the home team being more motivated.“Honestly, it’s very hard to have things exactly the way you want. Obviously when you win you don't see as many mistakes as when you lose. I haven't been often changing the players. But now we have a week of break. To be honest today I knew it would be very tough for us because of the amount of games we've been playing, also how badly they wanted to win,” Carlos told reporters of the match.“I'm not surprised, they were in a very hard position so the motivation they had today was exactly the motivation that we needed. I want to congratulate Mumbai and I will take 100% responsibility for what happened to my team. We're still fighting, we want to be in the top 4.”When asked if he was hinting at a lack of motivation that led to his team’s defeat, Carlos said: “During our meeting today I explained to them that I have been through this situation quite a few times before with Real Madrid and the Brazil national squad. When the first one plays against the last one it’s very hard and when the players not focused enough it will affect the performance on the pitch. I could be speaking here till tomorrow but Mumbai played better, they deserved it.”Carlos, whose team still lies second in the table behind FC Pune City on goal difference having played one more game, also refused to find faults with his players.“No, you can be sure of something about me I will never come here and criticise my players. My problems with them will be dealt with them only,” he said.
