Delhi Dynamos FC marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos believes having played one game fewer than most of their semi-final rivals is a big advantage for his team ahead of their 2015 Hero Indian Super League encounter against NorthEast United FC at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.Delhi, who have 18 points from 11 matches, will surely put one foot in the semis if they win on Saturday and Carlos thinks having played one game fewer than most of their rivals is a big advantage for the Lions as the race for the semis heats up.“For us the goal remains the same which is to get to the semis. Tomorrow’s game is going to be a very important match as have been the others. Obviously, now we only have three games before the semis. The good thing is that some teams have fewer games than us so this is a little bit of an advantage for our side. But I’m not really worried about the other teams, I’m just focusing on my team, and we are working hard to get to the semis,” Carlos told reporters on Friday.Among all eight teams, Delhi have scored the least number of goals i.e. 11. When asked if it was time to accept that the Lions had problems in the conversion department, the former Real Madrid defender came up with an interesting observation.“Mumbai and Kerala are two teams that have scored more than us but practically they are out of contention, right? Most of the time, the numbers don’t really explain the real situation. I was champion in Spain winning each match 1-0. 1-0 in Bernabeu and 0-1 away, three points. Only three points matter. That’s my opinion as a coach but each person can have a different opinion. Delhi Dynamos are in the top four right now and this is what makes me happy,” the Brazilian said.Of three matches between these two teams so far, Delhi have won one and two ended in a draw, including a 1-1 stalemate earlier in the season. When asked to assess their rivals, Carlos said: “…NorthEast is a very good team, they have a great coach, they have great players…They weren’t that lucky against Goa in their last match but it’s a team that’s very fast and impressive and their players are very clever, so it’s going to be a tough game.”
