© ISLDelhi Dynamos FC coach Roberto Carlos has made his intentions clear ahead of the 2015 Hero Indian Super League game against defending champions Atlético de Kolkata at the Salt Lake Stadium on Thursday, saying that going five points clear of the hosts was what at the forefront of his mind.With three wins and two defeats, Delhi occupy the fourth spot in the table on nine points while Kolkata, with seven points from five matches, are right below the visitors. Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Carlos said taking three points from the match was what his team was looking for.“…They already have great players and obviously they are the defending champions. It’s going to be a nice game as we are two teams who like to attack. Obviously our goal is to win and go five points ahead of ATK,” Carlos told reporters on Wednesday.Delhi have been very solid at the back so far, conceding just five goals. The more emphasis there has also led to not many goals up front (four). When asked if not scoring more was a matter of concern, Carlos replied: “I want to congratulate the opponents because they know how we play and know the skills of our players like [Florent] Malouda, Robin [Singh], [Richard] Gadze and others. They defended very well but it also depends upon my players to move better so they can score more.”Carlos also made no bones about his expecting more from Robin Singh. “After he came back from the national team, he played very well and even scored against Pune but he lost his rhythm after that game. He is a good player, he is one of the leaders in my team. Being a leader, I want him to perform much better, because what he does for Delhi Dynamos, he obviously has to take this and go ahead, and do the same in the national squad. A striker survives only by scoring. Look at [Stiven] Mendoza, six goals. Robin has just one. So why can’t he improve? He is a good player and he has to improve a lot,” the legendary Brazilian said.Carlos also was quick to big up table-toppers FC Pune City. “The toughest one this year is Pune. The league is balanced but Pune have impressed me a lot. Chennai are one of the favourites, Goa have good players, my dad Zico (laughs) is there but the league generally has a lot of quality. But I want my team to qualify for the play offs and become the champions,” he said.Carlos was impressed with the way the league was going from strength to strength. “Since last year I have been following the ISL and I saw a lot of good games here. This year it’s even better with more quality and more organization and now, the ISL is being seen all over the world. So we are here to improve the quality of the league and we are here to help the Indian players to improve their skills, physically and mentally,” he said.
