Having remained winless in their previous three Hero Indian Super League Season 2 matches (two defeats and one draw), Mumbai City FC now gear up for in-form Delhi Dynamos FC whom they play at home at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.Mumbai assistant coach Oscar Bruzon, speaking to the media ahead of the match on Tuesday, made it clear that there was no more room for mistakes for the home side.“There’s no doubt that we are in an emergency situation. This is not the beginning that the team wanted. All the guys are concerned in the group to take those three points tomorrow as there is no more room for mistakes. This league is short and this is the moment to win since we have games lined up [three more after Wednesday’s game] at home. This is going to be the difference,” Bruzon said.Mumbai’s rivals for the game, Delhi Dynamos started their Season 2 campaign on a poor note, losing to FC Goa but after they came back with a bang, beating Chennaiyin FC, FC Pune City and Kolkata Blasters FC in the next three matches. Bruzon said they had analysed their in-form opponents inside out but improving their own performance was at the forefront of their minds.“We have analysed all the strong points of Delhi, and have analysed many weaknesses. But at this point, most important is focusing on us. Speaking of MCFC, we have to see inside of ourselves, put our strongest team, show a very good attitude and a winning spirit and from there we’re going to build the other games.“Again, it’s not the time to focus on others, but ourselves and do our work. Almost all the players are available for the technical staff. So we are very confident and really willing to solve this difficult situation.”Following conceding five goals in three matches as opposed to scoring one, Bruzon didn’t hide the fact that he wasn’t happy with their defence combinations so far.“No, not happy at all. Three games gone, we are analysing the situation. There are many things we are doing well. But with one point in three games, it seems we’re doing more things wrong. Again, it’s the moment to put everything on the pitch. Tomorrow, we’re going to work with the winning combination. This club needs a win, so from tomorrow, we need to be back on track,” he said.Mumbai goalkeeper Subrata Paul, who also addressed the media alongside Bruzon, said despite having failed to keep a clean sheet there was nothing wrong with the team and that they were ready to change the status quo. “Nothing wrong here [when asked what was wrong with the team], since we’re done with only three matches now. There are still 11 more games to go. And I think from tomorrow, we’re going to start winning. And we’re following the coach’s plan accordingly. Tomorrow should be a good result.”Bruzon was hopeful too. “We have had control in the games till now. In the first two games, we created many chances that we didn’t convert but in the third game, that was not the scenario. Tomorrow, we are going to come back and find our identity, at home. We’re going fight for control of the ball, create chances and from there, combat them.”The Spaniard also shared his opinion on Delhi’s style of play. “They’re being effective in a way opposite to us. We are good with possession, but not conversion. And they’re not interested in possession, but going up front. They don’t need to create a lot of chances to convert. And this is something that we’ll have to analyse and see,” he said.
