Mumbai City FC assistant coach Oscar Bruzon said reaching 20 points was his team’s top priority following a thumping 5-1 win against NorthEast United FC in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday evening.Speaking to the media after their third straight win at home, the assistant coach said: “I want to be honest, I know that now we have a lot of noise, we are having a run of three wins, I know we are second on the table. But [right now] we are only focusing on Atlético de Kolkata [Mumbai’s next opponents] and the main objective of our team is reaching 20 points as soon as possible and I can tell you this will not be easy because we need to win three more games. We have only three more games at home so we want to keep working.”For Mumbai, Sunil Chhetri scored a hat-trick while Sony Norde and Frantz Bertin chipped in with one goal each. Commenting on the combination play involving his attacking resources (Norde, Chhetri, Singam Subash and Frederic Piquionne), Bruzon said: “The main thing about the combination is that when things are not going very well, they understand how to retrieve, how to help the team and they play very good in attack. But I don’t want to talk only about the attacking part of the team. Because the defence today played a very important role.”Bruzon also explained as to what led to Chhetri playing in a withdrawn role. “In the beginning, he was trying to take a lot of responsibilities at the front. In that moment, when we were trying to play him on the left and on the right and the combination was not working. Then we put Sunil in the bridge between the midfield and the attacking line. And now Sunil is completely exceeding our expectations. Sunil has played a great game again. But I think today the success of the team is the work of all of us,” he said.
