Mumbai City FC assistant coach Oscar Bruzon wants to make the most of their long home leg ahead of their match against NorthEast United FC at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday. The match will be Mumbai’s fourth successive game at home and after this there will be one more and Bruzon said it was important his team did well in these matches. “We're playing at home - it's a must-win game for us. We'll [soon] finish the home run of five games… We need to do our homework and capitalise on our home games as nobody has any idea [as to] what could happen in the league,” Bruzon told reporters ahead of the game on Tuesday.Bruzon also reviewed their performance against table-toppers FC Goa whom they beat 2-0 in their last game. “What went right [vs FC Goa] is the work, the attitude of the players, the combination, the association between team-mates, knowing when to pass the ball. Many things went right for us. Tomorrow too should be a good fight,” Bruzon said.Bruzon was happy with the team’s defence for keeping a clean sheet in the last two matches. “We've been consistent on the defence. Opponents, too, haven't been creating enough chances. Statistics show that 80 percent of the teams in the ISL who have scored first have gone on to win the game. So for us, the brains in a high-performing team is the back. Attackers stay composed once they know the defence is strong,” he said.Striker Frederick Piquionne, who scored 50th goal of this season against Goa, also addressed the media sitting alongside Bruzon and said Sunil Chhetri, Sony Norde and he were on the same page. “Sunil Chhetri is a good player, one of the best in India. Very smart, very quick. There is a good combination amongst the three of us, with Chhetri being able to play in several positions, in the midfield, on the wings as well as up front.”When asked who could be a thorn in Mumbai’s flesh come Wednesday, Piquionne replied: “You could say [Andre] Bikey. But here we need to be more focussed on ourselves than the opponents. We need to play against them like how we did in our last two games and win it.”
