Since joining Mumbai City FC from ATK in 2018, the Manipur-born winger has been an integral part of the Islanders' rise. Over his seven-season spell at the club, he scored 25 goals and registered 11 assists in the ISL, tallying 28 goals across all competitions.
His standout season came in 2020-21, when Mumbai City FC created history by becoming the first team to win both the ISL Shield and the ISL Cup in the same campaign. He played a key role, contributing six goals and four assists, including a memorable winning strike in the final against Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Remarkably, he repeated the feat in 2024, once again scoring in the ISL final against the same opponent, helping the Islanders lift their second ISL Cup.
Singh departs as one of Mumbai City FC’s all-time greats. His 36 goal contributions are the second-highest for the club in the ISL, only behind Lallianzuala Chhangte (40). His 25 ISL goals also place him second on the club’s all-time scoring list, just behind Chhangte (26). He made the most appearances for Mumbai City FC in the ISL (129); in fact, he is the only player to have played 100+ ISL games for the Islanders.
In honour of his legacy, Mumbai City FC will retire his iconic number 29 jersey.
Kandarp Chandra – CEO, Mumbai City FC, commented: “Bipin’s journey with Mumbai City has been truly special. Over the years, he’s made a meaningful impact on and off the pitch, delivering key moments and showing unwavering commitment to the club. His connection with our fans and his contributions to our success speak for themselves.
"As we bid farewell, with immense gratitude and pride, retiring the No. 29 jersey is a small gesture to honour everything he has meant to us and the legacy he leaves behind. He will always have a place in the Mumbai City family.”
Sujay Sharma - Director of Football, Mumbai City FC, commented: "Bipin has been a pillar of our squad through the most historic moments in the club's timeline.
