Bengaluru FC forward Ryan Williams has been crowned December 2024’s Player of the Month in the Indian Super League (ISL), following a series of dazzling performances that played a pivotal role in his team’s success during the month.

The versatile Australian showcased his class with a stellar contribution of four goals and three assists in 294 minutes of action. He scored in three out of four matches that Bengaluru FC played in the month.

Williams was not on the scoresheet during their 4-2 defeat to Odisha FC, but supplied an assist in that game. He provided a goal and an assist during Bengaluru FC’s 4-2 win over Kerala Blasters FC, helping the Blues return to winning ways.

He then scored a goal in the 71st minute against FC Goa, helping Bengaluru FC stage a fightback as the Blues rallied from a two-goal deficit to draw the game.

The winger also played a pivotal role in Bengaluru FC’s 4-2 triumph over Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. He netted two goals and provided an assist, helping Bengaluru FC round of the year with a crucial victory.

Williams not only delivered in front of goal but also created opportunities for his teammates. He registered nine shots, six of which were on target, and carved out four big chances, providing immense service.

The award is decided through a selection process where fan votes and expert opinions each contribute 50% to the final result. Ryan Williams secured 30.72% of the final votes, emerging as the clear winner. He outpaced other strong contenders, including PV Vishnu (24.48%), Alberto Rodriguez (24.00%), Sunil Chhetri (16.40%), and Alaaeddine Ajaraie (4.40%).

Over nine appearances this season, Williams has netted five goals. Additionally, he has provided three assists, highlighting his playmaking abilities.
