Roshan was picked for the award by 11 out of the 13 experts who voted for him thus making it a landlside victory for him.

Hyderabad FC’s Akash Mishra who was the top choice for the other two experts was his closest competitor for the award.

Roshan leads the charts for the top Indian assists providers in the Hero ISL this season with five assists to his name and has made the left-back role his own. His set-piece delivery has meant that Bengaluru FC have scored the joint most number of goals from dead-ball situations this season.

Marco Pezzaiuoli’s team have enjoyed a resurgence in January 2022 with three wins and two draws to their name and have pulled themselves into the semi-final contention.

Roshan is the third recipient of this monthly award after Mumbai City FC’s Lalengmawia Ralte (November) and ATK Mohun Bagan’s Liston Colaco (December).
