Mohun Bagan Super Giant captain Subhasish Bose has earned the prestigious AIFF Men's Player of the Year award for his exceptional performances with the Mariners.

Bose not only led the side to successfully defend the Indian Super League (ISL) Shield in emphatic fashion—becoming the first-ever club to achieve this feat—but also reclaimed the ISL Cup trophy with a hard-fought win over Bengaluru FC in the final. MBSG thus became only the second team after Mumbai City FC to achieve the double. In doing so, Bose’s performance on both halves of the pitch was truly remarkable and has rightly been recognised.

The left-back notched six goals and an assist, besides helping his side keep 13 clean sheets. Bose has also been a regular member of the Indian squad since Manolo Marquez’s appointment, especially in the absence of Akash Mishra.

Vishal Kaith bags Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award

Bose is joined by his national team compatriot and clubmate, Vishal Kaith, who earned the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year accolade. Kaith continued to be the guiding wall at the back for the Mariners for a second season in a row, claiming the Golden Glove award in the ISL.

The MBSG custodian kept a record 15 clean sheets and conceded only 19 goals across 26 appearances, guiding them to a record-breaking season and achieving the historic double. His club performances were rewarded with a call-up to the Indian national team.

The 28-year-old made his return to the Indian playing XI after nearly seven years in the international friendly against the Maldives in March, before keeping his place in the opening AFC Asian Cup Final Round qualification match against Bangladesh.

Brison Fernandes wins Men’s Promising Player of the Year award

FC Goa attacking midfielder Brison Fernandes has been chosen as the Men’s Promising Player of the Year.

The 24-year-old enjoyed his most prolific season in the ISL, which saw him earn abundant playing time under his belt, and he shone through it. Fernandes scored seven goals and provided two assists in the ISL this season, and his promising performances earned him his first-ever national team call-up.

Fernandes came on as a late substitute to mark his India debut in the 0-0 draw against Bangladesh in March.

Khalid Jamil voted as the AIFF's Men's Coach of the Year

Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil has won the AIFF's Men's Coach of the Year award for the second year in a row.

The Men of Steel have enjoyed a remarkable season under the Indian coach, which saw them return to the ISL Playoffs and, almost remarkably, pull off a famous semi-final win over Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Jamil has now guided Jamshedpur FC to their first-ever Cup final, where they will face FC Goa for the Kalinga Super Cup trophy on Saturday.

East Bengal FC forward Soumya Guguloth was named the AIFF Women’s Player of the Year after a stellar IWL campaign, finishing as the highest-scoring Indian player with nine goals and helping her team lift the title.

Goalkeeper Panthoi Chanu, also from East Bengal FC, was awarded the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year after keeping seven clean sheets in 14 matches, anchoring the team’s defensive solidity throughout the season.

Sujata Kar of Sribhumi FC was named Women’s Coach of the Year after guiding the newly promoted club to an impressive third-place finish behind East Bengal and Gokulam Kerala.

18-year-old defender Toijam Thoibisana Chanu, also from Sribhumi FC, earned the Women’s Promising Player of the Year honour, capping off a memorable debut season at the top level.
