The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Thursday a list of 26 probables for the upcoming U23 squad ahead of the Malaysia tour.

The Indian U23 team is scheduled to play two friendlies in the upcoming FIFA International window against the Malaysia U23 team on March 22 and March 25, respectively.

NorthEast United FC assistant coach Naushad Moosa has been newly appointed to lead the Indian U23 side, with Noel Wilson and Dipankar Choudhury joining him as assistant coach and goalkeeping coach, respectively.

Moosa announced a 26-member squad for their training camp before the upcoming tour. The camp is set to begin on March 15 in New Delhi, and the final 23-man list is scheduled to be announced before they depart for Malaysia on March 20.

U23 Players' notable contribution in the ongoing ISL season

Prabhsukhan Singh Gill - East Bengal FC

The go-to goalkeeper for the Red and Gold Brigade, Prabhsukhan Gill, has been a part of the starting XI in all matches so far this season. He's had an outstanding first season at the club, having made 47 saves across 19 appearances, with a save ratio of 68% per game, and managed to keep 7 clean sheets so far this season. Gill's best performances came against the likes of Chennaiyin FC twice and Mumbai City FC, where he conceded just once in the three games.

Isak Vanlalruatfela - Odisha FC
Vanlalruatfela has not only been one of the best U23 players but also one of the best Indian players in the ongoing ISL season. The winger has been an integral part of Sergio Lobera's team and has appeared in all 18 matches this season. The 22-year-old has scored two goals and provided one assist this season and was also named the Emerging Player of the Month for December.
Vibin Mohanan - Kerala Blasters FC

Vibin Mohanan, the 21-year-old midfielder, has made 14 appearances for Kerala Blasters FC this season. Mohanan scored his first goal for the senior squad in the ISL in the Blasters' last match at home against Mohun Bagan Super Giant. The young midfielder has an impressive average passing accuracy of 85% per game, along with 42 duels won, 85 recoveries, and seven goal-scoring chances created. Mohanan was named the Emerging Player of the Month for the month of November.
Mohammed Sanan - Jamshedpur FC

Mohammed Sanan has been exceptional for Jamshedpur FC this season. The pacey winger has utilised his quick legs to make timely advances from the wings, posing a threat to any defence. The 19-year-old winger has scored two goals and provided an assist in 810 minutes of playtime. He has also made 126 successful passes, paving the way for 10 goal-scoring opportunities this season. Additionally, he has won 37 duels and made 45 recoveries, rendering him an effective winger. His best performances for the Men of Steel were against Punjab FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant, where he scored a goal each.

Parthib Gogoi - NorthEast United FC

Parthib Gogoi has made himself extremely deadly from outside the box this season, backed up by a goal conversion rate of 25%, with all four of his goals coming straight from outside the box, delivered with a powerful right foot. The 21-year-old also provided an assist along with 16 goal-scoring chances from 15 appearances to date. His best stint of this season came against Mumbai City FC, Chennaiyin FC, and Punjab FC, where he scored in all three matches consecutively.

East Bengal FC's Vishnu PV and Mohun Bagan SG's Abhishek Suryavanshi, who displayed some brilliant performances in recent matches, have also been called up to the national team.
