Mumbai City FC will aim to pull off a huge upset when they host Al Hilal SFC in their fourth group stage match of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 season at the DY Patil Sports Stadium, in Navi Mumbai, on Monday.
The Islanders have had a challenging start, as they are yet to secure a point in Group D. In contrast, the Saudi Arabian giants currently lead the table with seven points. Mumbai City FC began the campaign with 2-0 and 3-0 defeats against FC Nassaji Mazandaran and PFC Navbahor Namangan, respectively, in their opening games.

They also suffered another heavy defeat, losing 6-0 to Al Hilal in the reverse fixture at the King Fahd International Stadium on the previous matchday. Serbian forward Aleksander Mitrovic engraved his name all over that tie with a brilliant hat-trick. Brazilian star Neymar Jr., who missed the previous game, is also ruled out for this fixture and hasn't traveled with the squad to India.

In their last 5 matches, Al Hilal hasn't dropped a single point, winning all of them. They currently lead both the Saudi Professional League (SPL) table and their ACL group table.
Head-to-Head Record
The two teams have only met once so far, with the star-studded Saudi Arabian side securing a resounding 6-0 win against the Islanders
Key Players
Mumbai City FC
Greg Stewart
The Scottish forward has scored one goal and provided one assist so far this season in the Indian Super League (ISL). In the Durand Cup, he has scored one goal and assisted three, bringing his tally to two goals and four assists this season.
With his creativity and ability to penetrate defences, Stewart would undoubtedly be a threat that Al Hilal should be on the lookout for.
Jorge Pereyra Diaz
Diaz has been ruthless this season, already scoring five goals in the ISL. He has also found the net five times in the Durand Cup and provided one assist. With 10 goals and an assist so far this season, the Argentine's terrific form is certain to keep the Al Hilal defence on their toes.
Al Hilal SFC
Aleksander Mitrovic
The Serbian forward has already displayed the menace he can bring, as seen in their previous encounter. Mitrovic has scored four goals in the ACL, nine times in the SPL, and two times in the King's Cup, while also providing three assists in both the ACL and SPL combined. Stopping him would be the primary concern for Mumbai City FC.
Salem Al-Dawsari
The Saudi Arabian winger has scored seven times in the SPL this season and provided one assist. He has played a crucial role in Al Hilal's outstanding form, maintaining their position at the top of both the SPL and Group D in the ACL. Dawsari's burst of pace into the opposition penalty box is one aspect that the Islanders will need to watch closely.
