FC Pune City overcame local rivals Mumbai City FC 2 – 0 in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday. Diego Carlos and Marcelinho struck in each half to ensure the Stallions solidified second spot in the league standings but Pune custodian Vishal Kaith came up with a standout performance, making some important saves. He took time to speak with indiansuperleague.com post-match and shared his thoughts regarding the encounter. Here are the excerpts.

Another three points in the bag. How does it feel?

It feels great! Now we have back-to-back wins. The team performed really well. Marcelinho and the other players all played well and for that we got the three points. All players gave a hundred percent.

This is your fifth clean sheet. Thoughts on that?

The defence is playing well, because of which things are easy. A clean sheet means that both the defending and the goalkeeping are good. And yes, a clean sheet definitely feels nice.

What do you think are Pune’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs?

With this win, our chances have become stronger. We are slowly getting to where we want to reach. I think we will easily qualify if we win a few of our remaining games.

What is your message for the travelling Pune fans?

It feels nice. They have travelled here from Pune. So, I want to say thank you to them and hope they continue supporting us as we try our best to get the results for them.
