Bengaluru FC will look to keep their title hopes alive when they host NorthEast United FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium for the second leg of their semi-final encounter on Monday. The Blues will need to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg but will back themselves considering it is a home tie for them.

Ahead of the match, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Bengaluru's Udanta Singh to know his thoughts. Here's what he said.

Thoughts on the first leg.

It was a last minute penalty that was a heartbreaker, but we knew there’s going to be a second leg. It’s at our home ground and we are looking forward to it. We’ll try to score more goals and we don’t want to concede a goal against them.

What was the tactical mindset in the first leg?

We wanted to score goals but unfortunately, we couldn’t play well in the first half. We played better in the second half, but the last minute penalty just broke the team.

Do you think the defeat in the first leg was a fair result?

It’s a good result for us, in my opinion. We got the one away goal. We will try to score goals in the home match, also.

How important will the home support be?

It’s going to be a phenomenal day. They’ve been always backing us right since the start of the league, so they will support us till the final 90 minutes as well.

What do you think of your chances of making the final?

I can’t say but it’s a fair match. We’ll play a fair match and try to win the match. We don’t want to concede goals against them.
