Bengaluru FC have made a great start to their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign with three wins and a draw from their opening four outings. The Blues will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Kochi to play against Kerala Blasters FC on Monday.

Ahead of the big match, indiansuperleague.com caught up Bengaluru's young winger Udanta Singh. Here are the excerpts:

Are there any new strategies in place this year to help your team improve?

For me, the team’s performance has been good so far. We are getting the results, so the strategy isn't very different. We keep going as a team. Carles knows about us and we know about him also, so it’s not different, we use the same strategy.

On playing under head coach Carles Cuadrat.

It feels good. He's a new coach. He was assistant to Albert Roca and then he became the coach. We know each other from before, so it feels great.

What’s the difference between playing for the national team and your club?

In the national team, we play with all the Indian boys and in the club, we play alongside foreign players. So, I feel it’s a different game. My most memorable game with the national team is my debut against Iran in a World Cup Qualifier.

Is there any added competition for the starting eleven this season?

Yeah, everyone wants to play and wants to come in the first eleven, so everybody keeps working hard, even the foreigners. Even Chencho is not Indian so he’s in the foreign category so he’s working even harder off and on the pitch.

Thoughts on the match against Kerala Blasters FC.

Last time we were here we won with a 3-1, so we’re looking forward to a big game. They’re also a great team this season. They’re unbeaten right now, so we are looking forward to the big game.
