A desperate Jamshedpur FC need nothing less than three points to keep their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 play-off hopes alive when they take on bottom-placed Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday.

Ahead of the all-important tie, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Jamshedpur goalkeeper Subrata Paul for an exclusive interview. Here are the excerpts.

How crucial will be the match against Chennaiyin FC?

If you ask me personally, I am not thinking about anything that will happen. The only focus is on the match. I am going to do my job and let's see what will happen next.

Jamshedpur FC had a lot of draws this season. Is it affecting your qualifying chances?

We can't change whatever has happened, but what happens next is in our hands. It is both for the match against Chennaiyin FC and the one after that. So, we are just thinking about the match against Chennaiyin FC and we will do our best and give everything on the pitch. Let's see what God can give us.

How do you rate this season?

It's still a long way to go. I never think like that and I always go match-by-match. Whatever has happened, it is in the past. I cannot change it. But what I can change is to train hard today and do better in the match.

Taking into account Chennaiyin FC's season so far, do you think Jamshedpur FC have an advantage?

I have full respect for Chennaiyin FC. And not only they, but all the ten Hero ISL teams are also equally good. For some teams, their luck may not have favoured them. And in my personal opinion, I think any team can beat any team on their day.
