FC Goa currently lead the 2015 Hero Indian Super League table with 14 points from eight matches and Brazilian defender Luciano Sobrosa has been one of the main reasons behind the Gaurs’ domination in the second season of the league. In the six matches he has played, Sobrosa has made 75 clearances (maximum by any in his team) and also boasts an 88% passing accuracy which is a big marker of his quality. The 36-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com on Saturday and shared his thoughts on his stint and also on his team’s campaign this season. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Tell us more about your partnership with Gregory Arnolin and Lucio. So far it's been going very good. They're very good centre-backs and they have a lot of experience. We communicate well during the match and even during practice to make us get better day by day. We want to become a very solid defence and help the team."We will go all out and I know we will because this is the character of FC Goa."Luciano SobrosaDisappointing 1-1 draw in Goa against FC Pune City. Expectations from the away game against FCPC on Sunday? If you see, we had a better game overall and we created more chances. We hit the post and also had a goal-line clearance by Roger Johnson. We created more chances but they had a good second half. If you see they hardly had any chances and Laxmikant Kattimani didn't have to make too many saves. I think especially in this match this season we deserved a better result but that's football. At this fixture, I expect a very good match since Pune is a very organized team. They have very good players. Also, since our last match against Chennai was only on Thursday and we have had only 42 hours to rest. We are humans, we are not machines. It will be difficult for us but we will not use this as an excuse. We will go all out and I know we will because this is the character of FC Goa. We will go out to get a good result because that would mean we go one step higher and achieve our target of qualifying for the semi-finals.You've been doing exceptional defensively. Are you also looking forward to getting on the scoresheet?Yes, absolutely. Zico has been working really hard with us. Especially with headers and corner kicks and everything in practice. It will happen I know. I've been going up and winning headers in the past few games but now I need to go and score. I look forward to the opportunity to score and help the team. It's always good when a defender goes up and scores a goal and when a striker falls back to defend when needed, it's very good. It increases the trust in the team and in the players.
