Free-scoring FC Goa have made a blistering start to the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2018-19 campaign, thanks in large parts to the attacking philosophy implemented by head coach Sergio Lobera. Out of five matches, Goa have picked up 10 points and will be looking to get back to winning ways after going down to Jamshedpur.

Ahead of the Gaurs’ fixture against Delhi Dynamos, indiansuperleague.com got a chance to catch up with right-back Seriton Fernandes. Here are a few excerpts for it.

How has your experience at the club been?

I’m very happy in FC Goa. I played all the matches last season, even this season also. I’m playing consistently. I played all the matches and I played very well also. As per my experience, all the players are also very good like Coro, Edu, Jahouh, they’re all playing very good football and I like their experience.

Thoughts on Sergio Lobera’s attacking style of play.

I like attacking football and the coach also likes attacking football, it gives me more confidence, it helps me in defending also.

Thoughts on Delhi Dynamos FC’s recent form.

Delhi Dynamos FC’s past performances don’t matter, we should give our 100%, that’s why we are focusing.

Thoughts on the match against Delhi Dynamos FC.

It is a tough match. Our expectation is high, it’s our home match, we are confident of winning.

Are you excited that Ferran Corominas is returning to the side?

I am happy to see that Corominas is back, he’s a very good player but we win or lose as a team.
