FC Goa face off against Bengaluru FC in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 final at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday

Ahead of the big grand finale, indiansuperleague.com sat down with Goa head coach Sergio Lobera to know his thoughts on the match. Here are the excerpts.

How excited are you for the final?

Yes, the excitement is maximum. Playing in a final is not a chance that you get every day and we are very happy with the work we’ve been doing throughout the whole season.

How much do you think it will mean for the fans if you win the title?

Last season, we only reached the semi-finals. This season, we are in the big final. It will mean a lot, not only to the fans but also for the club and for the region. Hopefully, we can bring the trophy back home and make all of them happy.

What will it take to win the final?

I think the final will be won from a collective point of view. I mean, it’s obvious that both teams have great individual players, but as I have been saying before, the team who performs best will have more chances of taking that trophy back home.
