The first southern derby between Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters FC in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Friday. Midfielder Rene Mihelic has put in good shifts for Chennaiyin and has provided an invaluable assist in their previous game against Bengaluru FC. The Slovenian spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com ahead of their big clash against Chennai. Here are the excerpts:

How does it feel to set up a winner after coming off the bench?

I feel good. We were leading 1-0 when I had come on. We wanted to keep the same result but they scored and made it 1-1. But after we scored from the free-kick it was 2-1 and everything was good, we got the three points and everybody was happy.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming derby?

The derby will be the biggest one in south India. The game will be difficult. But I think we are a great team and I think we will take three points from the game.

Who is always late to training?

Nobody, everybody comes in on time.

Who is the music man in the dressing room?

The music man is for sure Gregory Nelson. All the time with music.

That is a difficult one, but I think it is Jude (Nworuh).

Who is the serious one?

The boss is Henrique Sereno.

The Nutmeg King?

Today the nutmeg king was Bikramjit Singh.
