Bengaluru FC will host Kerala Blasters FC in a high-octane match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The Blues boast a 100% win-record over Kerala in the Hero ISL, having won all of the three encounters in the past, and will look to maintain it when the two sides lock horns.

Ahead of the big match, indiansuperleague.com interviewed Bengaluru's Rahul Bheke. Here are the excerpts.

How important was the last win against NorthEast United FC?

I think it was very important for us because we lost a match against Mumbai City FC and the win boosted us for the upcoming matches before the semi-finals.

Thoughts on your new-found attacking acumen this season.

From the last season, I’ve been looking forward to it. I thought that I’ll be joining the attacks and help my team by assisting. This season, my aim was to score some goals and I’ve scored two goals so far. I look forward to scoring as many as I can and help my team win.

Which player in the squad have you learned the most from?

I’m learning from all the senior players. Most of the players are very helpful and they guide us during our matches and even off the pitch. So I’m learning from all the players, especially the senior ones.

Thoughts on the derby against Kerala Blasters FC.

The derby is a tough match. Last time we won against them and we look forward to another win. We are still not safe to go into the semi-finals and we have to be in the semi-finals. So, we need another win.

Who is a player to watch out for in the Kerala Blasters FC squad?

There are a few players, but I think the most dangerous one is (Courage) Pekuson. I admire him. He’s very much an attacking player and he’s very dangerous when he’s there in the attacking third.
