Bengaluru FC’s unbeaten start to the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign will be put to the test when an in-form Mumbai City FC side visits the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday. The Islanders are enjoying a purple patch of late, winning five and drawing one in their last six outings.

Ahead of the fixture, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Bengaluru fullback Nishu Kumar for an interview. Here are the excerpts.

What’s the mood like in the camp?

I’m very happy and I’m doing good. Everyone in the staff is supporting me and I’m doing hard work. So, it's all good.

Thoughts on facing Mumbai City FC.

Actually, they are a good side. They are doing really well in the last five or six matches. It will be a tough match and I’m very excited to face them. Even we’re doing well. So, yes, it will be a tough match and I’m looking forward to it.

Which of your teammates do you look up to?

For me, Harmanjot Khabra. He always motivates me and he’s very hardworking. So yes, I like him.

Has your role changed under head coach Carles Cuadrat?

Yeah actually. (Albert) Roca and Carles (Cuadrat) have the same style of play but I’m more comfortable now because Carles helps me a lot.

How does it feel to play in a star-studded squad?

Dreams come true and I feel very lucky to play with players like Miku, Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet (Singh Sandhu). It’s like the best moment of my life playing with them and I’m very happy.
