Delhi Dynamos FC went down to FC Goa for the second time, this time at home with a 1-4 scoreline. Leading up to this game, the Dynamos had the best defensive record in the league, conceding just five goals in seven games. Right back Naoba Singh, the 26-year old Tata Football Academy graduate and 2009 SAFF Cup winner with the India under-23 team, was one of the defenders who had contributed to that record, having turned out in three games for the Dynamos earlier. But he could not prevent the Dynamos from sliding to a heavy defeat today against a Goa team that finally did justice to all their attacking play. The Manipuri player is a former alumnus of Churchill Brothers and has been playing for East Bengal for the last few years. Indiansuperleague.com caught up with Naoba soon after the final whistle for his reactions on the match:What are your thoughts on today’s game?We were in the seventh position on the table, so we were really motivated to win today’s game and try and move forward. What do you think went wrong today that you lost by such a big margin? I think there were plenty of mistakes in the defence and the midfield, I think that was the reason we couldn’t score and conceded so many."I like playing with the foreign players because they are much more advanced."Naoba SinghOf all the Goa attackers, who were the ones who caused you the most problems? I think we felt the most pressure from their wingers, they were very fast and very hard to mark.Delhi is now last in the table, do you think the problem is tactical or technical?I don’t think there is a problem tactically or technically, the team is going pretty well. I think the problem is upfront, we’ve been finding it difficult to score and therefore we feel the pressure in defence. Is it because your strikers are not as youthful as those of other teams?I don’t think age is a problem for the team, the experience that they have is very useful to us. I think we are getting many chances to score but the lack of rest may be the problem. What is your experience playing with the foreign players?I like playing with the foreign players because they are much more advanced than us in football. Playing with them is fun and we get to learn so much from them.
