Delhi Dynamos have endured a disappointing start to the 2018-19 Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) as they currently sit in bottom spot in the league standings. Winless in their opening eight matches, the Lions need to step up to the plate if they are to salvage any hope of making the play-off spot. One silver lining from Delhi’s season has been the form of Nandhakumar Sekar.

Prior to the match against Bengaluru FC, the Chennai-based youngster spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com on his time with the club and on his thoughts about new head coach Josep Gombau. Here are the excerpts:

How has the mood been in the camp?

Yeah it happens sometimes. This is football, sometimes we will lose and sometimes we will win. We are playing good but the results are yet to come.

On facing Bengaluru FC

They're a good team. They have good players, but we are a good team too. We have played them before and we will try to beat them.

Thoughts on Josep Gombau

He is a good coach. He motivates us every day and he works on improving our weaknesses day by day. He motivates all the players.

How have you adjusted with Delhi Dynamos FC?

Yes, it's very good. The management, the supporters are very good, and I have a good relationship with the management, it's a good team.
