Adil Nabi impressed one and all with his pace in Delhi Dynamos FC’s 1-1 draw against defending champions Atlético de Kolkata in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday evening. Roberto Carlos brought him on for Hans Mulder following the equaliser from Richard Gadze in the hope of putting the opposition defence under the pump and Nabi managed to live up to his coach’s expectations and threw quite a few scares into the visitors. In an exclusive interview with indiansuperleague.com, the young West Bromwich Academy product reviewed the game. Here are the excerpts.
What do you make of this match, a point won or two lost?
We were a goal down, so I think it’s a point won. But there were a lot of chances towards the end where we could’ve scored. We’re happy with the point, but three would’ve been better.
With the three consecutive games drawn at home, what’s going in the players’ minds?
Well, a point is better than a loss. We’re positive in the camp, so no problems there. We could get three points from the games ahead.
"Splendid! The last two games we’ve played here have been superb."
Adil NabiHow would assess your performances from your last two games?
Overall, very good. I think I’ve been doing well in the last two games as well. Hopefully, I could just keep continuing to play well.
What would you like to say about the support you receive at home?
Splendid! The last two games we’ve played here have been superb. A lot of people have turned up at this beautiful stadium. Hopefully, [we will get] a win for them the next time.
