Leo Moura has had a great Hero Indian Super League Season 2. The 37-year-old Brazilian has been at the centre of everything good for the Gaurs this year. He has scored twice and made the most number of assists by any player in the 2015 Hero ISL so far (8). He has also completed the most number of passes in the league (724) and has made 36 tackles from Goa’s engine room. Moura spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of his side’s game against Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday and shared his thoughts on the contest. Here are the excerpts. What made you join the ISL?<First of all, Zico's invitation was the main reason why I came here to play in the ISL. I've always loved new challenges in my career and this is a new challenge for me. I am happy to be here.Have you had to change anything in your game to adjust to the ISL?When I was in Brazil I played most of my career as a right back and I have played in a more defensive role for most of the clubs I have represented. But at FC Goa, I got to play as a midfielder and got to see the ball more which was not a new thing for me because at the very start of career I had played in midfield quite a bit. So I had enough time at the pre-season [in Dubai] and got used to the role. Most of the foreign players in the Goa camp are Brazilians, including the coach. Does that make things easier?Yes, it does help to a certain extent but when you play football it doesn't really matter much. All the players, including the Indian players, are important. What is essential for a team is to play good football.Which Indian player has impressed you so far?I wouldn't like to single out any particular player but Indian players do have the talent and I am impressed by what I have seen so far."We want to win every game that's our target."Leo MouraDo you think the ISL and the Indian players have potential to become bigger and better?I think the league is still growing and we can see that it will only get better in the future. With so many fans supporting the clubs and creating such a good atmosphere for players I think it will motivate everyone to do better. And yes, I have seen some quality players in the ISL. It will take time but it surely will come up and grow. The winner of the game tomorrow cements the top spot. Does that motivate you going into the game?We want to win every game that's our target. It's not only to qualify for the semi-finals. We prepare for every game as it comes and we want to win them. The objective is to finish on top of the table. And yes we are motivated to beat Delhi and take the top spot, without a doubt.
