NorthEast United FC have enjoyed a fine start to their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 season and currently sit in third place with 19 points from 10 matches. A victory in their next match against ATK on Saturday will see them break their club record for the most number of points registered in a single campaign.

Ahead of the encounter, indiansuperleague.com caught up with NorthEast defender Mislav Komorski to know his thoughts about the match. Here are the excerpts:

What sets NorthEast United FC apart from the other teams?

The best part of my team, I think, is that we are compact, we play together always. Maybe some clubs in the league have more quality compared to us, but our strength is that we play together. Everybody is motivated because we finished in last place last season and nobody expected us to reach the playoffs before the season began. We don’t have too much pressure on us.

Thoughts on the match against ATK.

When we played against ATK earlier this season, they didn’t play well because they had a bad start. But we know that things change. ATK are now one of the best clubs in the league. They have very good players like Lanzarote, Gerson and others. I really respect these guys and I expect a harder match for us than the last match in Kolkata. But we also have a very good team and are in good form. It will be a very interesting match.
