Kean Lewis scored the opening goal of the match in Delhi Dynamos FC’s 1-1 draw against NorthEast United FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. It was the Lions’ first game at home in the 2016 Hero Indian Super League and Lewis capped off a good overall performance with a goal in the 38th minute to put his side in the lead. A 51st-minute equaliser by Emiliano Alfaro, however, made it 1-1 after 90 minutes as Delhi played out their second consecutive draw of the season. Lewis, who was also named the ISL Emerging Player of the Match, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the game. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Your first goal in the league, how does it feel? It’s great to be on the score sheet. We have worked hard, I should have scored in my first game as well against Chennaiyin FC. I am glad I could find the net this time. It is unfortunate to come out with the draw. Both teams fought hard and created some good chances. So unfortunate to end in a draw, but this is a game. How has your experience been so far? It’s my first season so yes it is tough, different styles. But the coaching is great, the facilities are great. So this is what I want, this is what professionalism is. I enjoy doing it, this is my job. I don’t regret even one bit doing the same thing day in and day out. I am happy, I am here and hopefully I can keep playing the way I am playing. Is there any personal ambition you have set for yourself?Hopefully, to score some more goals and to win the final. You have maintained your unbeaten streak. Is that something Gianluca Zambrotta places a lot on emphasis on?If we can’t get win, we want to get off with a draw at least. We want to make sure we do not drop any points. If not three points, at least one point is better than zero. So we work every game to come off with a win but if not, we can settle for a draw.Tell us a little about the overall atmosphere in the team. Mentality-wise, are you upbeat? It’s great as we have a lot of senior and experienced guys like Florent Malouda and some other players. They stand up and guide other players and we support each other. It’s like a family.
