Jerry Lalrinzuala started his 2016 Hero Indian Super League campaign off on the wrong foot as he conceded a penalty against Atlético de Kolkata in the last few minutes of the game at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, allowing the hosts to steal a point from Chennaiyin FC. But in the last few matches for the Super Machans, Lalrinzuala has turned out to be a revelation and one of the reasons behind their back-to-back wins after an average start to the new season. Chennaiyin are currently in Pune to play FC Pune City and the 18-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the match at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium. Here are the excerpts from the interview. What are your aspirations from the game against FC Pune City?We are playing again to get the three points and we will do our best. How does it feel to share the dressing room with big names like John Arne Riise, Marco Materazzi and Bernard Mendy?Yeah, I feel good when they teach me what to do and what not to do and I am learning from them everything they tell me.It’s your debut season and you are very young, so how does it feel to play in the ISL at such a young age?I am very happy to play in the ISL at such a young age, and there are so many players who want to play in the ISL but not everyone gets the opportunity. I try my best for my team. You have scored quite a few spectacular goals in the past, so are we going to see a few goals from you this season? My job is first to defend and after that let’s see what happens.
