Delhi Dynamos have had a disappointing start to their 2018-19 season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), failing to pick up a victory so far. Under new head coach Josep Gombau, the Lions have played attractive possession-based football, but have not been able to find the finishing touches on a regular occasion.

Prior to the match against NorthEast United, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Lallianzuala Chhangte to uncover his thoughts on the team’s slow start as well as the quality that the Highlanders possess. Here are the excerpts:

What do you make of Delhi Dynamos FC’s season so far?

I think it is not good enough, but we are working on our mistakes, what went wrong, and I hope we will turn this over. We are hoping for three points.

Does the team deserve more points the way they have played?

Definitely, yes, we deserve more points but sometimes we don’t get what you deserve but we deserve a lot more than this, but we are a new team and we are working on this.

Delhi Dynamos FC have not scored in the last two matches. What has gone wrong for the team?

I think nothing has gone wrong. Of course, the way we have played, the chances we have created, we didn’t convert, it’s not good enough I know but we are working on this and I hope we will score soon.
