NorthEast United FC have been like a breath of fresh air in the fifth edition of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). Currently in fourth with 14 points already on the board, the Highlanders are one of the favorites to crack a place in the playoffs this year.
Ahead of their fixture away to Pune, indiansuperleague.com caught up for an exclusive interview with the Highlanders striker, Juan Mascia. Here are a few excerpts.
How challenging has Hero ISL been for you?
It has been a great challenge for me. First time outside my country. I'm 24-years-old so, it is a good experience for me and I find it very good and everything is fantastic.
Your thoughts on Eelco Schattorie?
Eelco is a great coach. He keeps his ideology very clear. We try to make it happen on the field, that’s what we are trying and doing.
Who is FC Pune City’s biggest threat?
They come back from the first win, so they are very good and excited about their first win. They have good players so in the middle they can make the difference, but we are compact and we fight to win every point.
