Sandesh Jhingan has completed every minute of Kerala Blasters FC’s campaign so far and will be looking to get his 12th consecutive start of Hero Indian Super League 2016 when the men in yellow host FC Pune City at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Friday. Kerala head into the contest with 15 points from 11 games and will be desperate for a win that will see them leapfrog the Stallions in the standings and break into the top 4. Jhingan has been a solid presence in Kerala’s backline this year having completed nine successful tackles, 10 interceptions, 15 blocks and 57 clearances so far. The 23-year-old India international spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the clash against Pune. Here are the excerpts from the interview. What are your thoughts on tomorrow’s match?Tomorrow’s game is very important for us, you know the way all the teams are placed on the table, and we are going to give our best, to be honest. We just have got to play our game. Now things are very tight and there is no room for errors, so hopefully we will get the three points. After a disappointing away match against Mumbai City FC, you are now at home. So how is the team morale right now?I think when you lose by such a big margin after doing so well… you can’t let it affect you. This is football. You just have got to leave it back and go back to training and go to the video room and see what mistakes you have made and learn from them, and we have to [do that] always. It was a learning process for us and the best thing about this team is our character and what has happened is gone now. We can’t change it and we just have got to focus on the next game. This one is from the fans, so which Kerala dish is your favourite?I think it would be sadhya, it is pretty decent. Cheers!
