Jeje Lalpekhlua scored his first goal of Hero Indian Super League 2016 for Chennaiyin FC upon his return to the starting line-up against FC Pune City at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Sunday. The 25-year-old put Chennai ahead in the 28th minute with an audacious finish that left the home support stunned. A goal from an Anibal Rodriguez free-kick in the closing stages of the match, however, ensured the sides shared the spoils at full-time. Jeje, who now has two assists and a goal to his name this season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts on the draw. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Jeje, an excellent goal in the first half. What were you thinking while taking that shot?This is my first goal this season. I am happy with the goal but we conceded towards the end and this happens in football. And I think we can do better in the next match. We did well today but we can do better so we will work harder and practice.What are the positives for your team from this game?We worked well and fought as a team and I think if we work like this, then results will come.Are we going to see more goals from you?I hope so. I will work hard and hopefully score more.
