FC Pune City signed off their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign with a 2-1 win over rivals Mumbai City FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Saturday. Adil Khan and Robin Singh scored to give the Stallions a two-goal lead, while Arnold Issoko scored the consolation goal for Mumbai from the penalty spot.
Adil Khan and Iain Hume joined indiansuperleague.com to share their post-match reactions. Here's what the two had to say.
Adil Khan

Thoughts on the match.
It was a tough match. They are very good with the ball in the midfield. All their players are really good with the ball. So, we did our job and we kept our possession and they couldn't break us down, except during the penalty incident.
Thoughts on your stunning goal.
I just made a good run and connected the way I wanted to. Nothing much. It is a good finish. That much I can say. I saw it afterwards in the replay.
Iain Hume
Thoughts on the season.
We fought hard and we finished the season with a massive amount of pride. We deserved to win the match tonight. They tried to make it an even match. So, good luck to Mumbai City FC in the semi-finals and I hope they go up.
Thoughts on Adil's screamer.
He tries this in training all the time and I have not seen him hit the target. So, for him to do that in a match. It is perfect! Never going to argue with him again.
It would be a tough defeat to swallow for the Islanders, who will have to bounce back fast as they head into the semi-finals. Mumbai defender Anwar Ali was available to share his post-match reactions. Here's what he said.

Thoughts on the match.
It was a good match. Luck didn't favour us. Sometimes, situations like these arise but we have already qualified. We were missing some key players but it's done now.
Will this result hamper the momentum ahead of the semi-finals?
No, I don't think so. We are already prepared for it. Most of our key players were benched because they had collected yellow cards but now, they'll be back. It doesn't affect us so much because we are mentally prepared for the semi-finals.
A word on the travelling fans.
It's very nice to see that the fans travelled to see us play. This was our last league match and I hope they travel to see us play in the semi-finals and they support us like before because we cannot perform without them. Thank you so much.
