Cedric Hengbart set up CK Vineeth’s goal as Kerala Blasters FC came away with an important away point from their match against Atlético de Kolkata at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on Tuesday evening. With the 1-1 result that saw them move to 19 points from 13 games, Kerala remained fourth in the standings. They will now hope that Delhi Dynamos FC beat NorthEast United FC tomorrow as it will seal a place in the semis for the Blasters. If that doesn’t happen, then they will at least need a point against the Highlanders in their last game of the league stage on Sunday to finish the job. Hengbart spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Tough luck, do you think you could have won the match?I think Kolkata is a very good team. We saw that for their goal they played very good football and they have very good forwards. So I think 1-1 is a good result and they qualified. We have 19 points and now will have to wait for the game tomorrow. I don’t know if we could win this match but a draw is good.Your last match against NorthEast can turn out to be a potential quarter-final. What are your thoughts on that?If Delhi win against NorthEast, we qualify, so we will see tomorrow. We have the last match at home and our fans will be there, so it will be an important match. Even if we have qualified, it is very important to finish second or third. Was it heart-warming to see some Kerala fans here in Kolkata?Yes, it feels very good that we have fans everywhere in the country, so it is very important to play well in front of them.
