Antonio German will be hoping to get some time on the pitch when Kerala Blasters FC host FC Goa in their 2016 Hero Indian Super League clash at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Tuesday. The fleet-footed attacker has made six appearances for the Blasters so far. German grabbed all eyeballs with his performance that yielded six goals and three assists in Hero ISL 2015. He will be hoping to rediscover that rich vein of form that made him one of the finds of last season in Kerala’s remaining matches. The 24-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the clash against the Gaurs. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Your thoughts and expectations from Tuesday’s game?Positive thoughts you know, we need to win but it is not a must win but obviously, we want to win every game as the league is tight and every win is vital for us.Thoughts on the nature of the league, keeping fit and the coaching team?Yeah the coaching team is doing their job and all the players are doing their job. We are trying to keep fit obviously, the games are in close durations so we are working hard to keep fit. (laughs)You are back home after a long time on the road, so what do you expect from these next few games at home now?I think the next two games are key for us and if we can get at least a win from these two games it will put us in a good position for the next upcoming games and the semi-finals.
